Ed Reed (Destrehan) was born in St Rosa, La...down the road from Destrehan (2 miles).

Kevin Mawae (Leesville) was born in Savannah, GA> Savannah gets some love.

"A military brat, Mawae grew up wherever his father, Sgt. 1st Class David Mawae, was stationed. Born in Savannah, Georgia, while his father served at Hunter Army Airfield, he spent three years of his childhood (ages 5–7) in Fort Riley, Kansas, and then five years (ages 8–12) in Hanau, Germany when his father was stationed at Fliegerhorst Army Airfield. It was in Hanau where Mawae began playing football.[1][2] His father was then stationed at Fort Polk, near Leesville, Louisiana. Mawae attended Leesville High School, where he was an all-state football selection and earned all-academic honors.["

Alan Faneca......born in NOLA, went to John Curtis up until the 5th grade before moving to Texas didn't make it this year. Thought he might.

Think Faneca played high school football at Lamar in Texas, not really sure which one without checking.

Faneca, 42, made nine Pro Bowls and was a six-time first-team All-Pro in his 13-year career, the first 10 of which he spent with the Steelers. He missed only two games, and one due to injury, in his lengthy career.

Next season, he will face competition from one of his former teammates. Safey Troy Polamalu, a former NFL defensive player of the year and six-time All-Pro, will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2020.

Man, I got to get with it......3 HOF Bayou Ballers in one year.

Johnny Robinson (UHigh, Baton Rouge) makes it as well.....born in Delhi, La

"He was an all-state football, tennis and baseball player in high school. Johnny became starting fullback in his freshman year at U-High. Robinson and his older brother, Tommy, won the national boys junior tennis championship when they were at University High School at LSU where their father, Dub Robinson, was the longtime (40 years) LSU tennis coach."
