RedZone
Bayou rolling at #4, not bad. BR-Catholic RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (LSU) will go in the 2nd round this year in a couple weeks giving the Catholic Bears 2....Derrius Guice, being the other. "When it comes to developing running backs, Florida is in a class of its own. In the past 10 NFL Drafts, an incredible 40 running backs that played high school football in the Sunshine State have been selected. Perennial powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) produced three of those: Giovani Bernard in 2013, James White in 2014 and Jordan Scarlett in 2019. Central (Miami) also produced multiple picks with Devonta Freeman in 2014 and Dalvin Cook in 2017. Other states that can claim to be hotbeds when it comes to former high school running backs moving on to the professional level include Texas (28 backs drafted) California (25), Louisiana (13), Ohio (10) and Pennsylvania (10). In total, 33 states have had at least one former back selected in the NFL Draft since 2010. See below for a complete breakdown." https://www.maxpreps.com/news/RRSiXWsOOEa6_84dzncTlA/map--where-every-nfl-running-back-drafted-in-the-past-10-years-played-high-school-football.htm
RedZone
Catholic-BR has put out some quality RBs through the years. Warrick Dunn (Florida St, NFL) Travis Minor (Florida St, NFL Jeremy Stewart (Stanford, NFL) Derrius Guice (LSU, NFL) Clyde Edwards-Helaire (LSU, NFL) Jeremy Stewart (Stanford) really didn't do much (either place), but he hung around the NFL 4 or 5 years. Scored a TD in the Orange bowl. lol
RedZone
Rummel "Killer" in the State Champ game a couple years back.....couldn't tackle him most of the time, when we did took 5 or 6 guys...CEH had more total yardage vs Rummel that year than the entIre Don Bosco team. Of course Alabama couldn't tackle him either all that much. CEH was special all year...MAN!
RedZone
Florida is obviously better at RBs than QBs... ...40 is pretty ridiculous.
