eaglesinsider
If you're very desperate for something that isn't baseball the Finnish Maple League kicks off their COVID-delayed season at 11:30 AM EST today as the Seinajoki Crocodiles visit the Helsinki Wolverines. Tomorrow sees the Kuopio Steelers visit the defending league champs, the Helsinki Roosters, also an 11:30 AM EST kickoff. Saturday at 7 AM EST the Porvoo Butchers take on the Vaasa Royals. That's it for games as the league only has 7 teams and one opted not to play this year. Teams normally have 2-3 Americans each but with travel problems and logistics it's proven hard for teams to get imports. The Wolverines, Royals and Butchers feature American QBs, with the most notable player in the league being Chris Forcier, former UCLA signee who finished his college career at Furman and brother of Michigan QB Tate Forcier. Here's the site they're broadcasting on for some reason (most European teams just stream on YouTube) which makes you register an account, should be ok as I know some of the American Football International (AFI) guys and they're good people. https://afi.yaretv.com/events
