Gospeeder Posted September 5, 2018 Report Share Posted September 5, 2018 The BS there spans a lot more than 7 years. Chicago began its downward trend in the 1960's. Their last productive mayor was Richard Daley Sr and even he was forced to focus on special interests due to his obligations to organized crime who orchestrated what became known as the "Daley Machine" They really ran the city and had influence in all of the surrounding areas. The corruption that influences that area is abundant in every aspect of its politics and the power brokers back there do not really care about what happens in the south and west sides as long as their pockets keep getting lined.
