It means they played 11 games against teams in Massey’s Top 350 nationally. The 558 is the number of points they earned (by his scoring system) based on the results of those 11 games. 1

What StingMan said... I use the Comp 25 and my personal edits to create a top 25 (Centennial AZ and John Curtis added this week due to 4 polls inclusion, double what Carol City had) and then any source who had a top 25 rating automatically gets a top 50 rating comp. The other measure I use to tally is based on the CalPreps or Massey's individual rating (which I then avg). I'd like to get Fisher's top 350 and make it 3 sets of algorithm eyes with my points system (which may still need tinkering... I felt the 3 lists total share the summary well... avg. points per top 350 opponent, points generated and games total. Amat - 20 BG - 42 IMG - 100 (comp top 5) Servite - 20 SJB - Loss 27 points (could have earned 40, but my judgment call decided 23 pt margin was too much). 16 pts would have been next tier. JSerra - 42 (top 50 comp) OLU - 20 MV - 42 CC - 64 (top 25) SJB - 100 (top 5) DLS - 81 (top 10) * Goal was to create a novelty risk/reward type power rating system magnifying top 350 using algorithms beyond the comp 25 inclusions via 7 sources. My judgment call on some loss points situations. Wins are clear, no review necessary. Most losses are clear also by this time of the year as I can gauge the whole season and better decide which loss tier to use in cases of losses to highly rated teams. Points Scenario Result Beat 1-5 100 Beat 6-10 81 Beat 11-25 64 Beat 26-50 42 Beat 51-125 30 Beat 126-250 20 Beat 251-350 12 Beat top 5 OT 80 Beat 6-10 OT 63 Beat 11-25 OT 48 Beat 26-50 OT 30 Beat 51-125 OT 20 Beat 126-250 OT 12 Beat 251-350 OT 6 Loss 1-5 OT 60 Loss 6-10 OT 45 Loss 11-25 OT 32 Loss 26-50 OT 18 Loss 51-125 OT 10 Loss 126-250 OT 4 Loss 251-350 OT 1.5 Loss 1-5 40 Loss 6-10 27 Loss 11-25 16 Loss 26-50 6 Loss 51-125 3 Loss 126-250 0 Loss 251-350 0 Lose to #351- #400 0 Lose to #401- #600 -5 Lose to #601- #1000 -10 Lose to #1001+ -15 Losing team may not receive full risk points or any points: 1) if differential is more than 28 pts 2) if they haven't earned more points with a win prior, no loss risk can exceed earned pts for win * * Unless game is close and then the next highest column is used/or prior losses have shown performance ability to justify a high risk entry.
