HSFBfan
Theres an article in the hill about it.....this will never work. All companies will do is cut people or give you less hours. Companies will not let their profits decline.

HSFBfan
Just like I said would happen. Another disastrous idea by the Democrats https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/nyc-restaurants-cut-staff-hours-to-cope-with-minimum-wage-hike-hitting-15/
Nolebull813
They are just gonna pay one person $15 instead of 2 people minimum wage. So there will be a ton of people getting their walking papers. and then you will hear bitching about that. And then the $15 an hour person who is realistically only worth minimum wage will be doing double duty, thus decreasing productivity and burning them out. So unhappy bosses, and unhappy employees. Great fucking idea.

HSFBfan
From NJ who is going to raise minimum wage to 15 by 2024 Historically, NJBIA has been opposed to a minimum wage that artificially inflates the value of an entry-level position. We have, instead, advocated for workforce development and believe that when skills are lifted, wages are naturally increased. "Today's announcement is another hit to small businesses who are absorbing cumulative costs in the form of new mandates, more subsidies for energy delivery and increased taxes as a means to balance the state budget. Most small business owners pay what they can afford for their workers. Now that it's a mandate, it is inevitable that some of those with the smallest of profit margins will struggle, stagnate or simply fail.
