The difference of overall schedule strength shows up once you add Colquitt, Lowndes and Camden to Valdosta, Fitzgerald and Cook.

I understand that Grayson can't help what their region is, but it definitely means they have to schedule way up pre-region to make up for the weakness. Maybe if they didn't steal all the stars from their region it would be a better schedule for them...

xD

Region 1-AAAAAAA will be up for grabs in 2017.  Lime Sink has looked at the progressions of the teams and has come up with the following numbers.  This is how we see the 2017 teams vs their 2016 counterparts.

2016 Colquitt vs 2017 Colquitt          2017 = +1.0

2016 Lowndes vs 2017 Lowndes        2017 = +1.5

2016 Tift vs 2017 Tift            ---------- (draw)

2016 Camden vs 2017 Camden           2017 = +2.5

Lowndes is considered the FAVORITE.  The Vikings probably have the edge due to their experienced QB.  They also has a talented RB (Tisdale) returning.  Their question mark will be their defense.  Randy Mac has brought in the former Camden DC...and from what Lime Sink has heard...Lowndes will be moving to the old 3-3-5 Camden defense.  If that is true...it will be interesting to see how things shake out for them.  After all...Randy Mac loves defense.  Viking fans are excited and they should be.

Tift is the wildcard.  They are in a funk but they have some athletes.  Coaching does not seem to be their strong suit.  But one thing that Lime Sink has observed thru the MANY years of watching the Despicable Devils...DO  NOT TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED.  None of them can read so they don't realize they're struggling...(Smile).  That makes them unpredictable.

Camden will be back.  GUARANTEED.  The Bluecats have always had talent.  Now they went out and hired Bullet Bob as their HC.  One durn good hire.  Surprisingly, rumor has it that they also brought in David Shores as their DC.  Offense has been Camden's "achilles heel" the last few years.  It won't be under Sphire.  They'll put points up. Now if they can stop some people...things could get VERY interesting in South Georgia.

Most of you already know that Colquitt ain't nothing but a bunch of poor, tiny, little, undersized and inexperienced Hawgs.  I've told you plenty enough.  Now...for just a tad of honesty.  The cupboard ain't entirely bare.  We have some serious questions to answer...but...Rush has been working hard at it since last December (except for those 3 days he went turkey hunting).  Our O-Line will hafta come together if we want to be successful early.  No doubt Coach Bennett is a magician...but he has his work cut out for him. Some of our WRs will hafta step up.  We have some talent but not much experience.  I think they can...but the proof will be on the field.  Our special teams should be OK...if we find the right punter.  Ah, the defense...The Blackhats....there be the biggie.  I don't think Rush is sure of what we got.  WE HAVE SOME PLAYERS...but how will we come together as a unit?  We'll get a first look around May 20th.  Now that's gonna be something to see.

There's you boys some Monday morning Gospel from Region 1 in South Georgia...via Amelia Island.
