These are dumbest publicity stunts and looks bad on the coach making the offer imo. I really do not think any kids should get offers until they have played Varsity. His biggest asset imo. is his connection to the Chicagoland area through his success with the Bears. The local kids can relate to that. The few times Illinois had really good teams was when they attracted lots of city and suburban upper level talent which does not happen very often.
