DigitalPro
Oped by @SOCIALDAMUS R. Kelly has been convicted on all counts and now faces the possiblity of life in prison. But before I make this assumption let me say, the abuse of women should not be taken lightly. And the punishment fits the crime for such actions. But " what if " he is actually innocent and all of these women are lying ? What if this whole situation is a historical display of how black women can and will manipulate the media and the legal system to destroy a black man ? It is no secret that many men have been accused by women, only to discover that it was not true. - remember Emmett Till ? Sadly, the falsely accused don't get the same media attention as those who are actually guilty. But what if the urban legend is true ? The myth that black women are much more of a threat to black men than the so called white power structure ? What if the fear of the white man is only a delusion born out of loyalty to black women because black men don't want to admit that there own women are their worst enemies? It is always more convenient for those living in denial to blame someone else .. But what if R.Kelly is really innocent .. would that make black men accept the truth about their women ? Would they finally acknowledge that this boogeyMAN that people like Louis Farrakhan have taught them to fear - is not really a MAN at all .. it's a woman. And for the record, R. Kelly is in no way Dr Martin Luther King Jr , but what if he is a modern day Emmett Till ?
