Way to many different champions crowned IMO, but for anyone interested the winners are below, sourced from various places including league websites and maxpreps.  Think all is accurate, but I’m not an editor:

*Note: There are numerous Private, Boarding, and Post Grad leagues not listed here.  Some of those teams are quality and some are very poor.  Most of them are not represented in the below leagues*

CHSFL (State Catholic School Championship) - Winner of NYC / Westchester / Long Island area Highest Classification Catholic School playoffs (CHSFL League) vs Winner of Buffalo / Rochester surrounding area Higest Classification playoffs (Monsignor Martin League):

Iona Prep, New Rochelle (CHSFL)

NYSPHSAA (New York State public schools + some smaller private and catholics outside of NYC and Long Island) - State playoffs, classification listed is largest enrollment to smallest - classification enrollments can be found here: https://nysphsaa.org/sports/2021/6/8/classifications.aspx

Class AA: Carmel

Class A: Christian Brothers Academy

Class B: Maine-Endwell

Class C Chenango Forks

Class D Tioga

PSAL (NYC public schools):

PSAL Championship: Erasmus Hall

PSAL Cup: DeWitt Clinton

PSAL Bowl: Madison

Long Island Championships (Long Island Public Schools - Classifications 1-4):

1: Massapequa

2: Garden City

3: Plainedge

4: North Shore

Why does NYC and Long Island not participate in the state tournament?

Long Island I’m not sure considering they are in the state tournament for every other sport.  NYC public schools always have had their own champions for every sport (Except Basketball which has the Federation tournament and plays down to 1 champion across all publics, Catholics, and privates in the state).  Not sure the exact reason except for I’m sure ego politics has something to do with it, as the leadership of those areas don’t want to be under the NYS executive umbrella.
