It was built in 1982 for a whopping $5.6 million ($18 million if built today). It's still one of the most talked about venues in high school football nationally. It's sort of like the Superdome, it just lives. Today> Big City and Small City Texas will throw $70 million dollars at a football stadium in a heartbeat that sits 9,000 to 10,000 people. Of course in those newer high tech stadiums you can order hot dog and they send it to you on a conveyor belt, no need to leave your seat.
