2 years is pretty short.

They were still offering 2 year contracts at the time. So just did the 2 years and wanted to move on. Didnt want it to be a career. Looking back I probably should have made it a career. But cant undo what is done in the past gotta move forward

I agree. Coast Guard is a small branch but a great career IMO.

Some people love Alaska. And Alaska is a lot better than the middle east lol

Yes of course lol I'd rather deal with Alaska without a doubt.

Not to make fun of Marines as my cousin is active marines but when I took my asvab the kid next to me got so low of a score he couldn't even be infantry and you need like a 30 on the test to at least qualify for that. I got close to an 80 and I didnt qualify for some jobs in the coast guard

Then he should have G.I. Bill compensation coming, like college, home loans, etc.

Veteran benefits.

Why is he crying so much about things not going well for him and he has served his country and not take advantage of what is available?

I don't get it.

You seem to know a lot. Veteran?

Also- he did not serve 36 continuous months of active duty and doesn't qualify for much of that.
