Jon Jones style has also been called boring by some. But he wins as well. Both Mayweather and Jones are defensive fighters, when boxing, who prefer to stand side-on with one foot forward in a wide stance, and both like to move backwards by pivoting their feet if their opponent starts to throw combinations. Makes for a boring fight, but the side-on stance makes them a difficult target to hit, and the back peddling lessens the impact of the opponents punches. Just smart fighting styles. Khabib is a wrestler and uses those skills to wear down opponents and eventually get a submission or a KO from his tired opponents.
