What it means and don't know the police unions issue with. The police agree with what defunding the police represent they just don't want to lose money in the process. Defunding the police is actually a term for allocating resources. Its either defund the police or raise taxes. Goof police get tired of responding to unnecessary situations so it makes sense to move money into other areas to reduce unnecessary situations. They did this in one city a few years ago in 1 area and the results were great. Police got retrained.
