Well, in CA the govt is mighty proud of their electric car mandates but a couple of hot days, and they are instructing people not to charge their vehicles😂😂😂😂😂.   
The SanLuis Obispo Diablo nuclear generating plant is being taken off line soon, with no clear plan for backfilling the reduction.  
Already the plans are being discussed for widespread adjustment of electric rates for vehicle charging.  Should be no problem though, just cover the entire Death Valley with solar panels made by handsomely compensated solar panel factory employees.  Maybe direct the flood of asylum seekers to those factories.  Heck, use em to build the factories, and put ‘em to work mining the minerals necessary. All our energy problems solved.

For now though, it’s survival mode.  If the wealthy folks on the coast here are sweating a bit too much for their liking and running them AC’s hard, with 0 chance for intervention, I’ve decided to voluntarily opt out of the voluntary curtailment program and snip those little wires they use to shut the juice off to the AC.
