Bormio Posted November 28, 2019 Author Report Share Posted November 28, 2019 Gaffney and Summerville have a rivalry that is intense for 2 schools that don’t play that much. Gaffney has 17 state titles, Summerville 12. Summerville won championship games versus Gaffney in ‘84, ‘86 and ‘98. Gaffney won a fabulous semifinal in ‘97 on the road, then beat an undefeated Summerville in a semi at home in ‘03 in OT (Sidney Rice caught the game winner).
