ChimpGrip
As far as Texas goes, I personally like Central Texas Hill Country - like Kerrville. Also like Victoria, and all of Webb and La Salle county (near Laredo and Encinal). Absolutely LOVE that South Texas brush country, How about out of state? I like Kansas, Utah and New Mexico. Has anyone here been to rural Kansas? How was it?

My camera doesn't include shells, so this particular rooster got away. Hell, most of them get away when I'm shooting, but I do hit a number of the sprinklers like the one in the background.

Quite a bit of volcanic rock but fairly isolated, quiet... quite a haul to Denver or Albuquerque but the scenery is unbelievable but if you got the jack... get some mountain stuff Colfax County , it’s pricey but worth it. Southern Colorado is beautiful north of there. Dry heat, cool nights, bright stars... the best. BGW
