It’s really not that easy. You are right it used to be grab a LB or a TE and let them do it but the times have changed. Coaches want the insurance policy of generally not having to worry about a ball flying out to pay dirt behind the punter. You know I guess analogy would be like a crew for NASCAR. It used to be good ol boys on the pit crews and they too a while, now to day they are a mere matter of seconds.
