Not one of your best efforts Whiteshoes

SFA has no business being ranked in the top 25.  Based on what do you have them ranked there?  If you are going on 5* guys then UHigh has as many 5* and ave played a better schedule.

Allen has played no one to earn a #2 ranking.  Plus their marquee win East just lost this week.

St. Johns has been on life support the past couple weeks, stumbling to close wins over middling teams (13-7 over freaking Dematha)

Jokes is way over ranked (by 50 spots) as they stumbled to a 13-7 win over an unranked team

Cajon lost to the only decent team they have played, and lost badly.  Upland would beat them.

Saying that University Lab has played a better schedule than St. Frances is like saying that Lakeland has played a better schedule than Oxbridge.

(hint: Oxbridge doesn't have a football program anymore)

University Lab is the kind of team you have to rank in the preseason where you think their ceiling will be because they won't lose and they play nobody.

So you can't argue that Allen has played nobody to earn #2 but not make the same claim about University Lab at #13.

Man, they got some great players though.....a bunch of 3 and 4 year starters to boot. Returned 17 from last year.

Back end of their schedule is pretty weak.

Big wins vs D1 Catholic and 5A Zachary on the front end. Both those teams could win state again..

UHigh's best 3 wins of the season.

WINS: #92 Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA) (41-21), #239 Zachary (LA) (49-27), #1031 Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA) (42-14)

STA's best 3 wins of the season.

WINS: #36 DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD) (38-0), #85 Deerfield Beach (FL) (38-6), #875 Piper (Sunrise, FL) (35-6),

Is that supposed to help or hurt your argument?

All 3 of teams listed for sta are higher than ULAB

Their "big wins" weren't dominant and weren't even against great teams.

University Lab is overrated and I think everybody knows it but they're just going along to get along.

I have no argument.....you will know when I make one.

The point is STA's back end is not some kind of murderers' row......there was NO need to even list them..

Try to keep up if possible.

STA has nothing to do with University Lab.

But if you insist, STA running clocked all three of the teams you mentioned. In fact, they've had a running clock in all 8 of their wins. All running clocks and all by the 3rd quarter.

University Lab didn't running clock either Baton Rouge Catholic or Zachary. They had a running clock against Southern Lab but it took them until 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter to do it.

So basically anybody in or near the top 1000 and University Lab will struggle to dominate them.

If that team is ranked #13 then they're overrated.

So the new los is into running clocks now....wait, it's the same los only remarkably dumber.

One of the better games this week is #66 Mallard Creek at #45 Hough. You probably have these two teams reversed but the good news is we will get to settle it on the field. Hough has had a ton of hype given their number of Power 5 recruits. Most are transfers so this will be a game of highly recruited individuals versus a very talented Mallard Creek “team”.

Although a point could be made about SFA in the Top 10, to say that do not have Top 25 talent is just not accurate.    It is my understanding that their was some sort of issue with their governing body that forced them to play this bizarre schedule.   Allen has been on cruise control all season as they, like most Texas teams, do not play serious contenders until the playoffs.    However, it does not mean that they are not a great football team.    At this point in the season, I just don't feel like there are any teams outside of Bosco that are playing better.    Washington St. Johns plays as tough as schedule as there is and to come through it unscathed is impressive.   BTW, DeMatha is playing a lot better now than they were playing when they played Aquinas.    Oaks Christian has rolled everyone up until this weekend when they played a very underrated Westlake team.      The upcoming playoffs should show their true strength as the competition will get better each week.     As for Cajon, we are at that point of the season where teams have stumbled and been beaten, then you must judge each of those teams losses and weigh each on its own merit to determine where they should fit in the poll.   Was the game just an off night or a sign of a deficiency in the team?    The beauty of this thing is that it is perpetual and will change as games are played and hopefully at the end we will be able to determine who are the best 100 teams in the country.

Puhlease.

whiteshoes with his typical boilerplate about teams playing "a lot better" when they they're actually not. He does it every year to justify his stupid rankings.

DeMatha is the same team they were 2 months ago. Tough, athletic defense and no offense to speak of.
