And 181pl somehow thinks that "reloading" can be done in 14 days before the season starts.

The guy is loopy.

Not 14 days. But, unfortunately, it can be done within about 75 days. Lakeland was maybe the 3rd best team in 7A as of May, narrowly beating Venice. Then, on June 1, the transfers rolled in and they are the clear favorites. They no longer have room to talk as disadvantaged in comparison to private schools. Perhaps IMG, St. Frances and the boarding schools housing kids from all over belong in a different category.

Yeah, but it's not May. It's August. We're rolling with what we've got whether it's good enough or not.

Lakeland got tired of losing to Osceola and Viera, and Castle is not getting any younger.

17 transfers is more than STA has ever had in a single year. I assume that you'll be disgusted with this and disavow the sport for almost a decade.

No?

I didn't think so.

I see it as totally unsustainable, both for Lakeland AND the sport. It's a little like the one and done with college hoops. Not a great approach and tends to make a mockery of the idea of "programs". Following it is, as it has been for about a decade, little more than a hobby for me. I did hope to see Lakeland load up and get redemption on STA for 2008. Mission accomplished.

That's always been the case at Lakeland as well. The differences are 1) the way kids talk via social media. There are some alpha dogs in Lakeland's senior class and they've moved to build up the team as much as they can. And, 2) something is apparently going on at Kathleen. Word is they've lost around 15 players to other schools.Just happens that the best 5-6 ended up at Lakeland. lol

There's something refreshing about a cognizant hypocrite.

Cheers.
