HawgGoneIt
https://www.walb.com/2019/10/24/deerfield-windsor-join-ghsa/ I only post this because Deerfield-Windsor is a private school in Albany Georgia. Their intent to "diversify" according to the story could be bad news for Lee County. Probably not over night, but, it shouldn't take long. Rufus>> True, but, now they'll be competing in the GHSA. No reason to leave. I suspect this move to make a difference for them in attracting and... keeping... athletes. Nolebull813
Oh good. So now if a Florida team beats them, we can get credit in ECHS’s calpreps prediction extravaganza 😂

It makes them a part of the type squads that sometimes maybe might get mentioned on here... maybe on a bad day.

What class would they be? 1A-private?

Joining the correct association is good step.

Go git em cowboy. They are a work in progress. One could say, a school just now looking to enter the 21st century where athletes have a tad more melanin. They will undoubtedly undergo somewhat of a transition where as their usual client base will pull out to Westwood in Camilla or Brookwood in Thomasville. When the head master mentions diversifying... yeah, some extensive growing pains are on the horizon.
Rufus69
I agree it won't be immediate...but I do think DW will come on and eventually establish themselves as a formidable opponent in "A" ball. A "ballsy" move by the Knights. Rufus>>
