Considering the fact that CCC beat Berkeley Prep, I suppose we can be sure AH's loss was bad by any measure.

They are playing Norland live now on Bally Sports.

BP has a 4th and 2 at the Norland 6 midway 1st qtr.

Norland has one offensive play, which was a lateral pass to the WR, who tossed a deep ball short for an easy INT.

BP went for it and a Norland DB made a nice tip to himself and took his INT 98 yards for the pick 6.   Block in back however.   Points off the board.    Norland starts at own 15 instead.

Norland fumbled.  BP is at the Norland 37 under 3 min in first qtr.

Freshman QB is 9-0 since starter got hurt, but he doesn’t throw much.  He did nicely to convert the first on 3rd and 7.   He was hurt though on the play.   Leg injury.   They’ll be more one dimensional likely if he can’t return.   Shin/leg injury looks like.

#4 for Norland is the DB who got embarrassed at Lakeland. He just gave up a 3rd and 11 to the frosh QB. Still hard to see BO hanging in for 4 quarters.

Time of possession is something like 10-2 for BP.

Yea Norland threw a pick on a trick play on their first play from scrimmage and fumbled shortly after 2nd drive.

BP had a chip shot FG to take the lead in the first, but the HC (I assume) felt they need more points to win.
Take the points.

Norland 16. Make that 21.  QB looks good warming up.  Running game has been effective so far.

QB back in for 3rd and 9.  Screen to the RB and there’s no Norland defenders in the middle.  They lured in defenders well.   26 yd score.

7-0 BP.  Early 2nd.

Cocoa game I haven’t seen yet.  I’ll watch it eventually on DVR.

STA vs Homestead 3 pm est

Cocoa controlled the game, and overcame some bad officiating calls. Bradford played their hearts out, and that made the game more entertaining than it otherwise would have been. It's fun watching teams play with passion.

Norland reception for first to the 45.  About 2 left in half.   BP 49.   Reception to 40.  47 secs.   Norland one TO left.
Nice rifle for 10 but holding.
Midfield.  Under 30 secs.  Another flag on Norland.
Own 40.   24 secs.

Norland doesn’t use last TO for a Hail Mary after QB is tackled.

BP leads 14-7 halftime.

Certainly, this is exactly how BP coaches would've drawn this up. If BP actually pulls this off, they'll be one of the most improbable state champs in recent memory. Upsets like this just don't happen these days.

Their running game is working.  Not sure how, but it is and assume this is a carbon copy of AHP game plan and execution.

D plays well also, but Norland’s O is surely helping them with mistakes and penalties.

Norland’s QB is not a dual threat.  He has a big frame and isn’t a mobile QB from what I’ve seen in the half.

He has a strange delivery motion also, but can let it rip on midrange passes.

He's dual-threat. But, more of a power runner than a Lamar jackson type.

Here's a great article on BP coach Dom Ciao. He's a local legend who's just never won a state title. They had a shot two years ago, playing Chaminade fairly tough before falling. Ciao

Yes, north/south runner, but not a burner nor elusive.

Total yards are a yard apart in half.  Article is subscriber protected unfortunately.

QB Yakoor is 8-8. 110 yards, 1 TD.

Norland starts 2nd half on own 24.  BP leading 14-7.
Dump pass to rb to 49.

Yapoor nice rip to WR.  Broken tackles to BP 24.
Yapoor keeper to red zone.  19.   Yapoor again first and goal.  8.  3rd and goal at the 4 after Yapoor and RB rushes.  Stuffed.

Going for it.  Turnover on downs.   Dumb.   Like with BP in 1st qtr, take the points!
7:48 3rd.

15 for facemask.  25.  Rush A gap big hole to the 37.   There goes Norland’s field position adv.   Midway 3rd, 14-7 BP

I’d like to know the favorite BBQ recipes for the Mandarin and BP HC’s.  :)  Just sayin.   I haven’t seen Cocoa’s HC gut yet on screen.

Nice toss by the freshman QB on 3rd and 10.  Sweet catch too.  Norland 41.  4:36 3rd.    5-8 on 3rd downs and they weren’t all gimmes.

Norland 31.  First and 10.  Big end run left to the 6.

Norland starts own 32.  1 min left in 3rd.  21-7 BP.

Yapoor completion to midfield, followed by a 19 yard scramble.  BP 30.
Next play, big A gap hole up the gut to the 2.  Yapoor keeper for the score to end the qtr.   PAT is blocked.

21-13 BP.
4th qtr will begin on kickoff.

HC Heidelberg should have kicked the chip shot FG on first drive in 2nd half.
Now it’s an 8 pt spread vs 5.
