badrouter
The desperation of the moment for Norland's D would pair well with pass-rushing and facing hurry-up offenses. Unfortunately for Norland, BP isn't going to oblige.
golfaddict1
3rd and 8. 3:35 Flag on BP. Broken play just short. Holding. Refs keeping it fair. Wow. Norland D self destructs on a run. 1st down. Count the missed tackles. Nice effort by rb, but nicely aided.
badrouter
There is absolutely a place for power football in 2023. Its lack of popularity among fans, which dictates what the pros do and thus what colleges do, is why we don't see it much. But, it can be a great way for modest underdogs to win. Especially given the increasingly soft nature of players...
golfaddict1
Short gain. 2nd TO used Norland. 2:38 2nd and 7. BP leading 28-20. 3rd down and 5. Under 2 min. This is the game. Close. 1:47. Short. Norland uses last TO. BP 42. Going for it. Or faking it. Norland D doesn’t budge. BP TO. Going for it. Got it. Ova. Congrats BP! 😮 Victory formation 28-20 final. Back to back, AHP and Norland. First title. Well deserved.
badrouter
One thing we can be sure of: there will be absolutely no credit given to Berkeley Prep. This will exclusively be criticism for Norland, along with some revisionist history (they didn't actually beat Miami Central twice in the same season...) golfaddict1
FSU fans are probably more pissed after this one. 😮 “You play to win the game” - Herm Edwards Quality coaching edge BP.
Nolebull813
Glad a Hillsborough team could get one. This is Berkeley’s first title. Congrats they earned it. Beating 2 top 5 teams in the state back to back hours from home is impressive!!

I gave AHP a shit the bed opinion, but fool me twice? 😂 Gotta respect back to back wins. Norland had help looking bad at times… BP. Norland had no answer for their run game and when needed, the freshman QB was clutch on 3rd down throws.

golfaddict1
Berkeley Prep flashback. Arch Manning scoring clip in the 49-24 loss. https://x.com/polk_way/status/1540153630040498181?s=46&t=Ub_4ZB--blmAW22AUOdwqQ They’ve reached new heights and are state champs… and it’s all thanks to Arch and LA! #settingthetable Red approved, I’m sure. 😊

Bradford played their hearts out, and that made the game more entertaining than it otherwise would have been. It's fun watching teams play with passion. Finished the first half. Cocoa QB threw a dime on 3rd and long to help the 99 yd TD drive continue to paydirt and take a 14-6 lead at the half. HC Schneider looks like he lost a lot of weight. Good for him. Should be able to FF plays to finish before top of hour. Bradford HC Jamie Rodgers looks like a tough, hard nosed type coach. He clearly wasn’t happy with their O performance. He’s got athletes. Sweet pick by CB on Cocoa first drive 2nd half. Bradford’s OL is being abused however. They had an opening play from scrimmage big rush to set the tone. But the tone faded soon afterwards. Nice drive Cocoa midway 3rd. Stalls at 8. Some nice QB runs under pressure to make it a chip shot. 17-6 Cocoa under 4 min 3rd. QB is thin. Needs to bulk up for next level. Watching this game, surprising STA allowed that many points. Bradford 4th and 2 and futile attempt/play call on your own 43. Late 3rd, Cocoa in control as you stated BR. Nice throw to move chains to chip shot FG range. Now 20-6. 23 yarder. Early 4th.

GA HSFB HC hopefully at a school with a foundation and some talent to work with. He would receive a nice raise moving his family to GA. golfaddict1
QB keeper on 4th and 2 into a brick wall at Cocoa 30. Under 8 left. Nice game overall for Cocoa QB Brady Hart. A few errant throws, but some very nice spinners in tight spots and he’s mobile. He has 2 more years in HS. Hit the weights young man in offseason. 20-6 final. Cocoa takes it. Solid D, but Bradford seemed to make it easier at times with playcalling.

golfaddict1
Stinger. Announcer is correct. Limp arm feeling memories. STA 3rd and 6 at Homestead 32. Vanilla run stopped. 4th and 6 slant to Chance Robinson. Indorf at QB. Redzone. 1st and goal at the 10. 4th and goal at the 5. Will be midway first next snap. Offsides Homestead. FG formation. No change. 22 yd good. 3-0 STA 5:27 1st

golfaddict1
Nothing like the closest defender to the ball going offsides before first play. 👍🏻 #revvvvvvvedup 😂 Indorf 1-1 jump ball, STA WR comes up with it. Homestead 41. Indorf keeper into Redzone. 17.
