Didn't see him do much at Valdosta and as you stated didn't do much in Godby. One of those that people didn't even notice while at Valdosta. By themselves they have decent size and strong individual suburban standards.... but I see what you're getting at though... North FL is a different world from everything below Orlando... charlton24fan Posted December 15, 2023 Author Report Share Posted December 15, 2023 Another Charlton poster on the ga boards said that the new coach was not a first choice, rather a 3rd or 4th. According to him, they had selected a couple others but they did not want to relocate to Folkston (seems like they would have put that in the job description). Also said it was someone from Camden. Makes a little more sense now. I found it hard to believe that out of all the people that applied, the most qualified man was someone with only 2 years of head coaching experience and a 5-14 record. I’m curious as to who it was from Camden though. Either way, it’s done and hopefully the man can turn things around. I do like the fact that it is someone from out of town and can bring something brand new to Charlton.
