They up it anymore and Y'all will be getting Snail Mail from me You can pretty much assume that your ISP is not meeting any 'standard' and companies still basically do whatever they want (blocking/slowing sites etc.) The only 'enforcement' to date proven effective is public outcry/perception upon (inadvertent lol) transparency. I thought Trump was originally 'against' the Obama legacy 'so called net neutrality' initiatives as (like everything else that's bastardized) Obama's 'version' had to include all these other government intrusive 'requirements' like mandatory 'minority' ownership in local media markets and other such bullshit (and they get more restrictive 'public utility'/TV type rules instead of less restrictive 'cable like' ones) that really have nothing to do with real 'net neutrality'. The War (and the money) is currently really about ISPs being able to charge companies like Netflix if they want their product to ever get 'delivered'....(will also help integrated suppliers and conglomerates). Problem is ... A 'wild west' will not work (even if Obama's version was bad). Seems like a 'simple separation would surely help... Information, news, government and 'public' sites/data as one category, protected by true 'neutrality' basics.....with Music, Movie, other 'entertainment' and content providers on the other side, considered as 'products' not needing protection from 'delivery charges'. Like every Library has a fiction and non-fiction section. Well the internet has both 'real information' and 'proprietary product'........so the idea that one set of rules should or could be so broadly applied to both is pretty ridiculous... TheMaximumHornetSting
To give you the basics if it gets past congress which I dont trust... Your ISP's will be able to charge you for access to some of your favorite websites. Example: You'll be charged for general internet usage which will probably be 50-90$ Then you want Facebook? 5.99 Youtube? 10.99 Spotify? 9.99 Skype?9.99 Google? 3.99 Or they could bundle it all together which is the likely route they'll do. Package 1: Facebook Youtube Google 23.00 Package 2: All of the above and Hulu. Not mentioning the fact you already have to pay for Netflix subscription. So you'd be double slammed. Outside of common decency there would be nothing to stop Your ISP from blocking access to websites and apps and then charging you for it

I honestly can live without social media. The only social app I use is FB Messenger. Outside of Youtube and Iheartradio I dont to much use anything else. But what I mean by standards is speed... Mediacom is the biggest group of liars ever... And Satellite Internet is a sin where I am... Honestly I'd expect Mediacom to be the first company to take advantage of the NN repeal. LOL on the SPEED certainly included in the 'not meeting any standard'. But don't worry too much, the internet is not cable TV, the market will not bear what you suggest, and people will have other options (like cell service internet etc.) Not familiar with Mediacom, but i am guessing it's (intentionally) the only service available in your area....Just like Comcast here, would not have a single customer if there were any alternative... Internet companies before then operated on their own open terms. But shortly before Obama took office ISP's where starting to give you more data without your permission and charging you more they where also blocking websites and apps... for reasons unknown. With Net neutrality the internet truly became an open field without fear of overpricing. And it made it fair for all websites and nothing was blocked. With Net neutrality gone... Companies can now discriminate against websites. Charge you for access to certain sites as well as apps and data. Online Gaming will become a load of BS... I can already see companies charging for online gaming data... But I swear to god they fuck with Pornhub and Im gonna slide the entire FCC. I dont do online gaming so im good there

Or that one guy who trades Brady to the Cowboys and proceeds to run through everyone like Indian food. I have a record of 2-2 I stopped playing online after my defeat by the fucking Bengals of 44-17... I had 12 turnovers 12 TURNOVERS! 12!!!
