If your team doesn't have its offense together by the end of Spring practice, they will not be much better during the season. Most Ga teams don't do well offensively anyways. I remember SJB scoring 3 points vs. a not-that-great STA team Week 1 last season. You guys have great offenses when playing each other. CA has a combined 12 offensive points in 2 games vs GA. I'm not referring to normal week to week improvement in execution. I am simply stating that a guy who throws and runs like Tom Watson in May isn't going to morph into Deshaun Watson in Sept. He did look like he had a stronger arm against Bartram Trail on Friday then he had last year but he also held onto the ball too long and took unnessisary sacks He does have fundamental stuff to get better at but I think he can with more experience since this would be his first year as a full time starter and they should be able to work with him a lot more now then he got when he was only a part time starter But as you said he's a play maker so if a play breaks down he can probably pick up a few yards and also gives us the ability to run zone read plays which will open up our WRs which gives our offense another weapon to utilize Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
