Who are these "people who know the state"?

I don't know anyone who would say that Central, Carol City and Northwestern were all top 10 teams last year.

Miami Northwestern was almost unanimous top 3 in FL

Miami Central was probably top 5 in state

Carol City was probably as good (or slightly better) than Armwood

I would like to see someone argue that there were 10 teams that without a doubt were better than those 3

....that goes 27-3 or thereabouts   almost every year prior to the start of league play

Among the teams that the Little 4 schools beat in non-league play:

Corona Del Mar

La Mirada (2x)

Cathedral

Heritage

Visa Murrieta

Downey

Loyola

Mayfair

Roosevelt

Villa Park

Garfield

And some of the "name" teams they beat like Bishop Amat and Alemany stunk as well.

Thought you knew your HS football better than that my man.

What does Carol City being as good as Armwood (which is just your opinion) have to do with being a top 10 team?

Carol City was 8-4 and went 1-4 vs. calpreps top 500 teams.

You're the same goofball who says that 10-3 STA was an embarrassment who wasn't even top 15 but they had a better win than Carol City (SJB) and also shutout one of the teams that beat them (Deerfield Beach).

I'll go class by class

1a> no one better

2a> no one better

3a> Chaminade, maybe oxbridge better than Carol City but thats a tossup but Central and MNW better than both

4a> again maybe toss up with raines over Carol City but i would have put money on Carol City in that game

So through 4 classes you have 1 team probably better than Carol City and 2 toss ups

5a> AHP and cardinal gibbons  so 2

Through 5 classes you got 3 better

6a> MNW and Central better than Armwood, Carol City tossup with Armwood

7a> only possible arguments could be for Venice and STA

8a> Maybe Dr Phillips but like raines in 4a i would put money on Miami big 3

So 3-5 potential teams better and a few toss ups

Did you read the post or did you just start feverishly typing like you usually do?

I said Little 4 schools, tinkerbell.

I'll give you a pass because you were probably busy trying to figure out what school to whore yourself out to in 2018.

Carol City was also a team who beat Miami Southridge (44-0 or something close to that)

That more than makes up for that week 1 blunder to Deerfield Beach

Again, this is all just your opinion based on no facts whatsoever.

You just say it and we're supposed to take your word for it.

You'd make a perfectly good ECHS05.

Ain't that what any human poll is?

All human polls are subjective and based on the bias of the person ranking

Huh?

So they beat a 6-4 Southridge team with no quality wins and therefore the Deerfield Beach game is forgiven?

That's lunacy.

You need to gain some life experience before you start engaging in these discussions.

Because most polls have Armwood top 10 in FL so if you are at the same level or better than a team already in the top 10 wouldn't it make sense that the team in question would be ranked top 10?

Besides I'm talking end of the season not the beginning

A lot of teams that may have been better than Carol City at the beginning regressed as the season went along

Carol City's 8 wins:

Dr. Krop (4-6)

Hialeah-Miami Lakes (1-8)

Norland (5-4)

Southridge (6-4)

Booker T. Washington (4-5)

American (3-4-1)

Dillard (6-5)

Mainland (7-4)

You're just saying that Carol City is at Armwood's level without a single scintilla of evidence or argument.

We're just supposed to believe you.

They didn't just beat Southridge

They demolished them

And Deerfield Beach wasn't that special either,  outside of their slim victory over Carol City in week 1 did they even beat any good teams

Not to mention deerfield Beach also got embarrassed up in New Jersey and looked like they didn't even belong

We can start with one carol City plays much better competition and teams then armwood ever sees

We can also point to what has happened lately whenever armwood goes up against a south Florida team and i can then make a argument that armwood can't beat a South Florida team with a pulse because the only good teams they play are plant and Tampa Bay Tech and as a result they will be starstruck playing a SFL team which has more speed than anyone they face because armwood is used to playing slow North FL teams

Carol City plays better competition and lost every game against that better competition.

Carol City was 0-2 vs. Northwestern and Armwood was 0-1.

So you haven't made a single point.

Ok so their wins not super impressive

How many could you reasonably see beating them at the end of last season?

The people who put together those human polls could likely defend their choices with facts and evidence.

You can't.

These polls usually put someone Armwood top 3 in 6a every year (or even top spot some years)

They may point to roster and call it evidence but I rather look at the fact that they will never play enough good teams in Tampa area to be battle tested

When plant and Tampa Bay Tech are the only 2 good teams you play in regular season,  good luck being ready for the best 6a team in south Florida in the finals

Neither of those teams have the overall team speed (specifically on defense) that these sfl teams usually have

Reason a team like Baker County got their ass kicked at states by AHP, Baker County is a slow North FL team, they had not faced the kind of speed on AHP and they didn't have the players to defend it

Not to mention AHP was also far better than anyone they had ever played during the season

Again, you are just asking people to give opinions based on nothing.

I don't believe you have the ability to do this.

Unless you have a good reason why Carol City was a top 10 team then just don't say it.
