NOLA Battle: #4 John Curtis vs #5 Warren Easton (Thursday Night)

RedZone

Recommended Posts

Thursday Night at 7:30 pm. It will be streamed live and I will post that link for those interested. Probably be the best Thrusday game in the nation. Both teams come in undefeated.

Was a great game last year with John Curtis winning 27-21.

Warren Easton is the Louisiana version of Grayson, in my opinion.  They have the talent to beat John Curtis, but can they play a complete game and keep the "stupid" to a minimum. Be fun watching them try anyways.

Easton is led by the #5 rated Dual-threat QB in the nation > 4* QB Lance LeGendre and 4* RB Ashaad Clayton (#15 rated RB)

https://247sports.com/Player/Lance-LeGendre-86454/

https://247sports.com/Player/Ashaad-Clayton-46036383/

and,

Huge OL with includes 3* Ole Miss commit Caleb Etiennne and 4* Sedrick Van Pran who has major offers.

https://247sports.com/Player/Sedrick-Van-Pran-46052225/

and,

4* ATH/DB Chester Kimbrough (Florida Gator commit) plays all over the field (offense/defense/kick returns/etc)

Just some of the highlighted players for Warren Easton.

And we've got University at Zachary this week... should be some good games!

Monroe Neville at West Monroe

UHigh at Zachary

John Curtis at Warren Easton

I think we (Rummel) might beat Archbishop Shaw......I just don't know these days though. We got one of our playmakers back anyways.

WR/ATH Koy Moore (USC Trojan commit)

Without a ton of leg work and digging... I'll take

West Monroe

UHigh

John Curtis

How do you see it?

I got Barbe. (Winner takes 3-5A unless Sulphur plays spoiler...)

As for the other 3:

West Monroe (As usual in this matchup)

UHigh (Close one.. in my heart I want Zachary to win...But UHigh is ridiculous)

Curtis (Keeps high power offense off the field just enough).

And if Rummel doesn't at least "Madden" Shaw...it's gonna snow in South LA.

WM and UHigh

Most likely Curtis. If Easton were to pound the rock behind that mammoth OL though and keep Curtis off the field they could pull the upset. Warren Easton like a lot of teams won't do it though. They will try to hit the "big play" 2 out 3 downs then squib a punt or get it blocked. :D

That said > I'm almost positive they will hit a couple big plays. They did last year.

Warren Easton was off last week so maybe they put a master plan together.
