They also have an elite cornerback in Lorenzo Styles that should be tasked with covering the talented Luke Floriea, a guy who Ed’s could just not cover and proved to be the equalizer every time it looked like Ed’s was running away with it. Springfield has a very good defense, but I dont think its better than Colerain's, and Elder was able to move the ball all night on Colerain, albeit mostly in 5 yd chunks. Elders OLine is just too dominant....they can literally line up and just run behind them every play and pick up 5 yds. They are also a very solid passing unit, so theyre very hard to defend. Their defense has been playing better, but they still have trouble with speed. Springfield has plenty of athletes and speed, but just havent been scoring much on offense all year. I dont see them keeping pace with Elder, unless multiple turnovers. And yes, completely nailed everything with Mentor/PC. Im honestly leaning towards PC, but its really just about 50/50.
