Trump may win the EC and lose the popular vote, but I think the decision in the EC will be clear no matter who wins. As it was in 2016. Biden is trying to run out the clock though, and lack of campaign events is going to hurt him in the end. There are more “persuadables” than polls are suggesting. The GOP is defending a bunch of vulnerable seats in both chambers. But if Trump wins, the Senate stays GOP and the Democrat House majority is more than halved, there may be a cry for new leadership other than Pelosi. As long as one swing state legislature disqualifies the electors who would have gone to Biden, or otherwise refuses to send them, then no candidate will have 270 electoral votes and the contest is decided in the House of Representatives, where each state gets one vote — a clear advantage for the Republicans.
