If you are ever in the NOLA area around middle of April take the short drive to Ponchatoula and check out their Strawberry Fest.....might be the largest Strawberry Fest in the nation attracting 300,000-400,000 for the weekend. If you love the strawberry this Fest is for you...and, it's free. Bring the kids. Lots of strawberry food and cajun food...if you can make it with a strawberry you will find it and a lot more....decent music for a free Fest. I highly recommend it.
