DP had two big losses one on a bad snap, the other a big sack. They lost about 30+ yards on those two plays and probably another 10 to 15 on others. So while their net yards was 47, they probably had 90+ gross yards of offense. Wekiva is a decent Orlando area team and has been for the past two seasons. Last year they almost beat Apopka for the first time ever, losing in the final 4 minutes when they gave up two late scores. This year they picked up several Apopka starters from last year, including 3 starters and a couple others that had significant playing time for APK last year. I was at the game last night and Wekiva was the better team on this outing. This does not mean that if they were to meet in the playoffs the results would be the same. As of now, Florida 8A is wide open. Columbus is looking good in the South end of the bracket but it has not separated itself yet. In the North bracket it is a crap shoot.
