I don't know, really.

I thought the track guys here would be pulling for the track guys making it to the NFL though. The whole track and football thing here.

98% of these clowns here don't care anything at all about track. They just blow hard. ☺️

But, the one who knows a little about track, knows nothing about creating a Louisiana blog for blowhards such as ^^^^.

But we're not talking about that, are we?

Has there ever been a guy in nfl that ran a 10.04 or better?

Bullet Bob Hayes (converted from 100 yards)?

Yes, the first to break the 10 sec 100 meter barrier was 1968 gold medal winner Jim Hines with a 9.95 in the friendly altitude of Mexico City... a record that lasted 15 years.   The name Bob Beamon will ring a bell from that Olympic Games when he did an Evil Knievel jump :)  that lasted 23 years as the record.   Hines caught a whopping 2 receptions in his NFL career and had the nickname "Oops" for his football skills :).

Trindon Holliday (LSU) played in the NFL as a return specialist and ran 10 flat.

Marvin Bracy had a tryout with the Colts and Panthers last year.  He didn't make the Colts roster after being signed for a tryout.  He's playing in a Spring League now of some sort trying to get another NFL shot.   His PR in the 100 is 9.93

Bullet Bob Hayes was clocked at 10.06 in his gold medal winning race in the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games and much has been made about the track surface being inferior (cinder).

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 combine 40 but did anyone ever see him caught from behind?   I shared this info last year, but NYT ran with another story about it in January... nice read and really shows the ridiculous athleticism of Leonard Fournette.

Edit:  I didn’t think Jeff Demps had NFL stats with his  PR best 10.01

Turns out he did a little better than Hines with 3 receptions in his career and 1 rush.  :)
