I'll never forget one year the fastest 400M boys from Louisiana ran a slower time than the Desoto,TX girls 😂 I am amazed being a Track guy just how fast these 2 States are. It is incredible the separation they have from the rest of the Nation. And Per Capita they slaughter as well. All that talk about wind and Texas kids. I was glad when Jamaica came and got smoked. Their 3rd leg completely screwed up after seeing the TX kids out front of them. They ran a 40.5 and got smoked. . Of course every now and then you can have a faster kid or a fast Relay somewhere else. But nothing like what these 2 States have. What's even more evidence usually the fastest 4x100 everywhere else have a hard time cracking the top 10 of these 2 States. The relays show the depth of speed. I would take the 4 fastest kids from Each and run against anyone anywhere in the same age group and against any College in the Nation. Desoto, LB Poly, STA and Bullis Girls are like top 100 in most other States outside the big 4 annually. Western Branch, VA has a 45.46 I bet they would place in several States.
