Actually, it is... And Ive been saying for years that they always lose some regular season games they shouldnt.... Really, its more that they are a very good playoff team...

2017 was a perfect example of that.... They lost to Brookwood, Tift Co., and Lowndes in the regular season... All very good teams.. BUT.. In the playoffs they went on one of the best runs Ive ever seen... Beating undefeated Archer & Walton on the road, and beating a team that beat them in the regular season, Brookwood, 31-14 on the road... Then they lost in the State Title game as time expired to North Gwinnett also on the road..... Colquitt is a Playoff team, not a regular season team...

One more time, Colquitt Co. is a playoff team, they lose in the regular season on average 2-3 times a year, but Colquitt is one of the best Playoff teams in the country.

If you look back... 2014 & 2015 were exceptions at 15-0... They had very good players those 2 years, and more FBS talent than normal...

Lets look at their record since Propst arrived....

2008: 4-6 (Propsts' 1st season, they were 2-8 the year before he arrived)

2009: 11-3 (L in Semifinals to eventual State Champ Camden Co. 19-10)

2010: 9-6 (finished 5-5 in regular season , but ended up going to the State Title game losing to Brookwood 52-38 ... They started this season 0-3, including a 65-35 loss to MNC South Panola MS, they did score 22 more points than any other team did vs. SP... But Colquitts D was junk this year)

2011: 11-3 (Lost to eventual State Champ Grayson 35-31 in Semis)

2012: 10-4 (Lost to eventual State Champ Norcross 41-27 in Semis)

2013: 11-3 (Lost to eventual State Champ Norcross 14-9 in Semis)

2014: 15-0 (State Champions, beat Archer 28-24)

2015: 15-0 (State Champions, beat Roswell 30-13)

2016: 8-5 (Their streak of 7 straight years making it to ATLEAST the Semifinals comes to an end ... in those 7 years , they won State twice, and all other times they lost to the eventual State Champ... In 2016, they made it to the Quarterfinals and again lost to the eventual State Champ Grayson 49-21)

2017: 11-4 (L to North Gwinnett 19-17 in State Title game)

For 9 straight years, Colquitt has either won State (twice) or lost to the Eventual State Champion in the playoffs every single time ...

Their record since Propst has been there is 105-34... They average 3.4 losses per year.

You could have used a lot less words to excuse every DLS loss in your lifetime

You don’t because you draw conclusions first, based entirely on your wants

keep Counting returning starters — you’re better at that than logic

CQ is a good GEORGIA team — GA doesn’t have any very good national teams

We will beat that slow ball DLS plays.

We play in Georgia.

We don't play church teams either.

Hate to break it to ya, but Lovejoy isn't beating DLS.

There are a few teams in the state capable of doing that, but Lovejoy isn't one of them.

It's ok to have pride and confidence in your home team, but don't be ridiculous. Lovejoy is not what they were at the beginning of this decade.

Your opinion.

You don't know anything about Lovejoy.

Colquitt thought like you did until we came south.

Coach All World has not invited us back or tried to schedule us anymore.

And as much as you say Lovejoy is not qualified to beat DLS, neither is Colquitt.

That bush league talk and other shit coming out of Colquitt poster is putting on a show for the National board. Nobody is afraid of Colquitt.

Remember, your were Bush league a few years ago and to be brutally honest, Colquitt did not become relevant until 09'.

So all that World beating bull can come to a halt.

I give them credit for what they did but don't think you can pass them off as you try to. Which leaves you in no position to talk about others.

Hell, If my school was playing for 100 fucking years, we would have a few titles too.

It has absolutely nothing do with Colquitt.

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Lovejoy would beat DLS.

You all had a very good team the two years you guys played us, but came up short on both occasions. I give those teams credit when it is due. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your Wildcats are nowhere near that caliber today, therefore they do not receive the credit earned by the teams several years ago.

Colquitt would run the present Lovejoy teams off the field, as would the other top teams in the state. To think we stopped scheduling Lovejoy because we are afraid is just moronic. We play the majority of the Top 10 teams in state on a yearly basis, but we are scared of freaking Lovejoy???

Cut the crap and tell us why you think Lovejoy could even give DLS a competitive game, much less actually beat them...

Cook vs. Colquitt

No existing evidence Cook can beat Colquitt

It is your opinion that Colquitt would do well vs. Lovejoy.

No one claimed anyone was afraid to do anything.

I just said it did not happen again.

Especially after all this talk of Colquitt not being able to find games and even scrimmages.

Non-sense.

Our kids would have a chance simply because the game was scheduled.

I will not and neither will the Wildcats admit that anyone is better than them until they actually prove it.

That mentally sucks to admit you are inferior without an attempt.

I applaud your positivity.

Sure there is always a chance even if it is .000001%.

A lot is going to hang on Graysons new QB as well.  Also, If Ronald Thompkins can stay healthy at RB, he HAS to stay healthy. Halyard is good, but not at the level Grayson needs to be an elite team. Thompkins has Power, Speed, & Quickness... Halyard is mainly a Scatback.

Graysons defense should be really good. They have a new DC, but if hes even halfway decent they'll be fine.

Last year, they gave up ...

35 vs. North Gwinnett (lost to eventual State Champ NG in 2nd Rd, 35-28)

26 vs Hoover AL

16 vs Ramsay AL & Newton

14 vs Norcross

9 vs John Curtis LA

7 vs McEachern

6 vs Archer, Shiloh, & South Gwinnett

0 vs ISB & Rockdale Co.

141/12 = 11.75 ppg allowed

Grayson has a ton of new assistant coaches, almost all of them... The HC is going into his 2nd season at Grayson, and his 3rd overall as a HC for ANY school. Grayson is a completely different "Grayson", from who "Grayson" use to be.

so I guess from reading this post it is safe to say that you question a top 10 ranking for Grayson at this time?? I have trouble deciphering what is real and what isn't with you boys from Georgia. I'm fair and objective when it comes to my posts so just asking

Top 10 in Georgia yeah...

Nationally... COULD Grayson be Top 10? Absolutely. The talent is most definitely there. But IMO, at this moment, theres too many questions surrounding the coaching staff and QB for Grayson to be Preseason Top 10. I have them on the fringe of the Top 25.

IMO, North Gwinnett will be a Top 10 team.

This is probably going to be one of, if not, the deepest year GA has ever had.

I have North Gwinnett at 1, Colquitt 2, Marietta 3, Grayson 4, Archer 5, Rome 6, Buford 7, Blessed Trinity 8, Walton 9, & McEachern 10, ... But you never know.

Expectations are that this will be the best Top 10 weve ever had. But really its impossible to say for sure in the Preseason.

I pity a team that has no confidence.

When the fans have no confidence,

Why have a team.

I don’t speak for DLS but I don’t think anyone is lacking confidence bs lovejoy

its more of a “why would DLS play them?” — there’s humdreds of better in state teams and DLS would get crucified for scheduling down

interesting..so with that breakdown by you I guess we should expect a very exciting well matched game on 8/31..Bergen returns a lot but they also have some question marks..I had them btw 20 & 30 nationally

Utah people, or anyone with knowledge on Corner Canyon... How good is this team going to be in 2018? They seemingly came out of nowhere in 2017.

Last year they caught my eye midway through the season, after beating Orem 27-14, Timpview 44-7, Alta 38-21, Jordan 31-14, & Highland 37-0.... Until they were eventually defeated by Skyridge 34-33 in the 5A Semis... They finished the season 11-1.

It looks like they return 6 on O and 6 on D, but lose their starting QB, RB, and #1 WR.

They look like a new school, and I found myself following them very closely last year. Are they an up and comer? Are they expected to stay at the top? CP had them finishing at 5 in Utah last season. What is the word on them this season?

Utah actually has a few decent teams...

What's up ECHS05!

After last season, you can expect to hear more about Corner Canyon being one of our top tier programs in the state (Utah).  It's a fairly new school, having opened in 2013.  It's located in the City of Draper, which is an affluent area.  There's definitely no shortage of talent or numbers feeding into CC. Prior to it's opening, the kids in this area fed into Alta High School, another one of our top tier programs in the state.  The opening of Corner Canyon cut into Alta's HS enrollment, forcing them to drop down in classification.

In my opinion, with exception of 2014, they have underachieved as a program since its opening.  But they have Coach Eric Kjar, one of the top offensive minds in our state leading the program since last season.  He was the former HC at Jordan HS, where they won a state championship in 2012.  They might have won more championships if they had any resemblance of a defense during his years at Jordan HS.  He was also the OC for Jordan HS, the years they traveled down to Georgia to play Valdosta HS and up to Ohio (Kirk Herbstreit Classic) to play Massillon HS.

It appears that he has hired a solid DC, which was reflected in their play last season, as they had one of the top defensive units in the state.  Offensively, Coach Kjar's offenses could score on anybody in the state over the years.  They should have won the 5A state championship last year.  The upset loss to another new school, SkyRidge, came as a shock to everyone.

With the addition of what appears to be a solid defensive scheme, combined with the talent and numbers coming into the program, and being lead by one of the great offensive minds in our state, I fully expect them to be one of our top programs year in and year out.

Bergen & Grayson SHOULD be very close... And yes, very exciting. I expect a fairly low scoring game... 24-21, 21-17 type game...

Grayson has a lot of new assistant coaches, and Im not a fan of their HC. Hes going into his 2nd year at Grayson, and only his 3rd overall as a HC.

Grayson will play Tucker 8/25 on ESPN. Tucker is always a decent-to-solid opponent... Itll give us a better idea about Graysons situation a week before BC.

So GA #1 team gets a warm up game and is playing at home vs NJ #3 playing first game on the road?

sounds like CQ v Vista Murietta and shame on you for hyping this as competitive
