Wireless headphones? Any preferences?

I think this may have been discussed in the past already, but I couldn't find the thread. I'm curious about opinions on wireless headphones as an Xmas gift. Our son is an adult who, being a millennial and all, spends at least a day or two per week working from home at his apartment. His girlfriend said he could use a good set of headphones, like Bose or Beats. I know nothing of either, or if there are numerous models made by each.

Any ideas on wireless headphones? Is high end the way to go? If so, which ones? Or are there quality options at an affordable price, etc.?

Thanks.

Bose and Beats

Neither are considered good brands in the audio world. Beats actually "colors the sound" to get THERE own sound. (distort what the artist has released)

These are the brands I would stay away from. That said, I bought my youngest Beats.

Like Apple or Nike , their marketing and design are top notch.

The most important question is price point. What is your budget?  Over the ear or on the ear? Open or closed? Noise cancelling?

If you want the best sound for the money take the time to register and post here.https://www.head-fi.org/forums/

At the Bose, Beats price point U'd go with NAD. Look at the HP 70 from Nad. https://hometheaterhifi.com/reviews/headphone-earphone/nad-viso-hp70-wireless-noise-cancelling-headphone-review/

If you give me some more info I'll post for you, if you like.

To be honest, name recognition may be more important than sound quality. It's just how the human mind works. But like I said if you care about the best "sound " for your budget, let me know the budget or registrar at Head-fi.

All depends on how good quality you want. Beats or bose give a good enough sound to the untrained ear. The average person will love them. However, they are mocked for their quality/price in any audio community.....and besides that, you can get far better quality for similar or cheaper price.

When I worked in the recording studio pretty much everybody used SennHeiser's or Audio Technica's. Both brands make truly outstanding headphones, and they are afforadble.
