NFL owners vote 31-1 to approve Raiders move to Las Vegas\

The Raiders received 31 of 32 votes to approve the move, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Twenty-four votes were needed. The Miami Dolphins were the only team to vote against the move, a source told Schefter.

The Raiders will still play in Oakland in 2017 and possible longer.

With a 65,000-seat, $1.9 billion domed stadium to be shared with UNLV not expected to open until 2020, Raiders owner Mark Davis has told ESPN he plans on staying in Oakland the next two seasons. The team holds a pair of one-year options at the Oakland Coliseum.

They need a new stadium in Oakland. Imagine how good the As could've been with a new stadium and money to keep all their players. Plenty of real estate areas around there it seems like that could've been room for stadium on bay.

As for Raiders, good riddance!!! ???

Couldn't agree more.

Let's go A's!

Just got my renewal package for seasons tix. Do protest and write them a big f u or do I purchase?

Just having this convo with my buddy. He's thinking of saying F it to his existing raider tickets. Long term I don't see this as a great deal for the Raiders economically, but Davis doesn't have $$$ so this short term will work.

I think the A's benefit big time in this to finally get a new stadium. Howard Terminal would be my first choice, but I could see them building next to current O.Com.

Little by little my childhood teams are leaving the Coliseum structure.  Warriors to SF, Raiders to LV.  At least my A's are sticking around.  Sad times.

Egos and greed created it. Not a fan of any of the Oakland teams (both my brothers are) but it is one of the most loyal in all of sports. Even when the W's were shit, which had been for decades Oracle was packed.

I think Libby and Lou Wolfe better start looking real hard at what they want to accomplish right now Funny thing is economically Oakland is booming.
