Big article please read

The Federalist has learned that the now-outed CIA and FBI informant Stefan Halper served as a source for Washington Post reporter David Ignatius, providing more evidence that the intelligence community has co-opted the press to push anti-Trump conspiracy theories. In addition, an email recently obtained by The Federalist from the MI5-connected Christopher Andrew bragging that his long-time friend Ignatius has the “‘inside track’ on Flynn” adds further confirmation of this conclusion.

Operation Mockingbird is an alleged large-scale program of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that began in the early 1950s and attempted to manipulate news media for propaganda purposes. It funded student and cultural organizations and magazines as front organizations.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on Tuesday that he might disclose the name of a whistleblower whose complaint about President Trump's actions toward Ukraine spurred the House impeachment inquiry.

Asked why he hasn't disclosed the name of the unknown individual, Paul told reporters that he "probably will."

We also now know the name of the whistleblower. The whistleblower needs to come forward as a material witness because he worked for Joe Biden at the same time Hunter Biden was getting money from corrupt oligarchs," Paul said at the rally after Trump invited him onstage, referencing unconfirmed reports in conservative media that the whistleblower worked for former Vice President Joe Biden.

The President, as part of his duty to us...you know the people?, is to investigate suspected corruption by US politicians. Biden is running for POTUS. It is ABSOLUTELY Trump's duty to make certain that an individual that MAY get elected to the highest office in the land, is not a corrupt POS. Well, we know that Biden is now. Great job Mr. President. I'm dumbfounded (actually I do know why) as to how you guys think that this is Trump's fault and rises to the level of an impeachable offense. Biden made his bed. PERIOD. The dems/MSM are damaging this country. PERIOD. It will now take years to recover. And putting another dem yahoo in office will just ensure we keep going down this crappy road. Trump is the guy to clean this mess up. And he will.

You are correct. It's a little mistifying that the Dems are trying to make it Trumps fault that Biden's son was sitting on a foreign board because his father used his political status to put him there. Ho cute to try to deflect the problem toward the Reps.

The call happened in a much larger context leading up to it and after, and it tells a story:  Trump withheld military aid to pressure another nation to dig up dirt on a likely political opponent and then his staff tried to cover it up.

If you are interested in cleaning up corruption you refer it to the State department, not your personal attorney.  If you are leveraging American aid to dig up dirt, you refer it to your personal attorney and fire members of the State Department.

In your words, "Link please".

To remove a president, the Democrats need strong bipartisan support, both among voters and in Congress. They don’t have it. One big problem is that so many Democrats and their media allies have cried “wolf” before. Indeed, they have cried it continually since Trump was elected. The second problem is House Democrats have conducted the inquiry behind closed doors and withheld the transcripts for weeks (only now, under pressure, are they beginning to release them). They’ve made up the rules as they go, refusing to let Republicans call witnesses, refusing to let the president’s lawyers ask questions or even observe the process. Why? No good answers have been provided, nor for why the investigation is being held in a secure room by the Intelligence Committee. Hiding it in the basement is a sad metaphor for what should be a public process. After all, the materials are not classified, and the Judiciary Committee has handled every previous impeachment. The more partisan the process, the less bipartisan and legitimate the outcome.

To Republicans, the impeachment drive looks less like a somber, quasi-judicial proceeding and more like something concocted by Dean Wormer to expel John Belushi’s “Bluto” Blutarsky and Delta House from Faber College. The House rules are ad hoc inventions. The secret hearings, scheduled by Chairman Adam Schiff, can continue as long as he wants, calling only his witnesses. He will then write a report, saying the evidence was appalling and unrefuted, and hand everything over to the Judiciary Committee to conduct public hearings. If Chairman Jerrold Nadler’s previous hearings are any guide, they will quickly descend into an ugly street brawl.

...In his new testimony, Mr. Sondland said he believed that withholding the aid — a package of $391 million in security assistance that had been approved by Congress — was “ill-advised,” although he did not know “when, why or by whom the aid was suspended.” But he said he came to believe that the aid was tied to the investigations.

“I presumed that the aid suspension had become linked to the proposed anticorruption statement,” Mr. Sondland said.

He believed...he presumed...he did not know.

How very compelling. 🙄 You guys really got him this time.🤣 Any more blockbusters?

But don't worry...after this fizzes out, I'm sure another molehill will come along that you can try to make a mountain out of.

Quid pro schmo.  What people are missing is that everyone’s mind is made up - this has been going on for 3 years.  Just as nothing that Clinton had done was going to lead Democrats to convict him, the same is true of the GOP.  What the Democrats are getting all huffy about now is simply not going to change minds.  Sure, there will be groaning and moaning by some GOP Senators- but they will not remove Trump.  Democrats can get all hot and bothered- but it will not matter.  The election is going to decide - so you Dems better choose wisely.

Gee, the election is only 11 months and 3 weeks away, give or take a week. Time sure flies when you're having fun...

The front runner for the Dems? Who would you vote for to go against Trump if you're a Dem?

Honestly, I hope someone with half a brain and wants to work with the republicans comes out of the hot mess the DNC is making. I might even vote for a Dem that would work with the republicans. Better than having 4 more years of closed door impeachment trials that only make certain Dems feel better about losing the election, and then out of bitterness trying to distroy the POTUS. Someone that will finish draining the swamp, keep the economy going, stand up to the countries trying to take advantage of the US, and stop giving out frre stuff to illegals. In other words, someone like Trump.

Politico ran an article this AM saying GOP Senators could give a shit about what Sondland said.  Politico acted surprised - saying that whatever the Democrats unearth won’t matter.  I could have told you that weeks (months) ago.
