A bit of a warning for Mater Dei-SJB

Even though nobody has stopped or even slowed Bryce Young and crew all season, including SJB, there is reason to think this game will be different. There is a very strong tendency in prep and college football for rematch affairs to be lower scoring and favor the team that lost the first game. Including in this rivalry just last season. Despite the fact that there is no team-specific evidence to suggest the game will go any differently than last time, don't be surprised if this game ends up in the high teens, low-20s with SJB possibly pulling it out.

I think MD is fully aware of that type of scenario,  having played this team so many times in the past few years. It should be closer, but I see MD just being better all around. SJB way too reliant on DJ's passing. SJB needs to establish a run, clock controlled type of offense, keeping MD's offense off the field and keeping score way down as you suggested. I don't think they can change the way they play. It would shock the HS football world though, for sure, if they can

Cold and rain will help your claim to

Bosco imo is slightly better upfront,  but MD is better on offense cause of Young.  If it pours MD will be at a bigger disadvantage then Bosco

I don't think it's going to rain tomorrow. At least I hope not. I'll be outside at a concert all day!

Sjb safety talked to the newspaper reporter & told him they have an entirely different scheme coming in for tomorrow. Gonna be real hard to throw something at B Young that he hasn’t seen at this level imo. Bosco’s best defense for tomorrow is to keep Bryce off the field. Sjb can win it no doubt about that, going to have to take MD out of their game for that to happen though. No rain in Cerritos tomorrow.
