Go back and look at the history of NYC Downtown Manhattan was all gang infested and run down tenements. I'm starting to believe that the founding father vision for America will be absolutely gone soon. Idk if there will be a mass exodus from America but I have certainly considered leaving multiple times. Always will be. Welcome to society. But to destroy businesses and such does nothing. Destroying your main street hurts nobody but the community. The big companies are not affected by destroying main street. They will continue to make profits and continue to get richer. Thats the whole point of a capitalistic society. To make as much money as you can. And yes people will be left behind. Has always happened To raise minimum wage to let say 20 dollar an hour would triple it from where it is today. Federal minimum wage is 7.25 I think is absurd. Yes real estate and taxes are completely out of control esp in deep blue states which is the main reason people are leaving and going to Nashville and Austin. #1 and #2 fastest growing cities. The blue states have created the wealth inequality as their business acumen has destroyed jobs and hasn't attracted any to come while Texas just invited Elon musk to build a billion dollar plant. Also gave him 84 million in tax incentives. You want jobs to come you give the big companies tax breaks and you don't raise taxes time and time again on the residents of the state. Socialism doesn't work. Being equal isn't what america is. Justice is supposed to be blind its not unfortunately.
