Roughly 6 months ago Hoover was hiring a superintendent that got down to 5 out of a 60 or so who had applied. Instead of going with 1 of the 5 finalist. Out of the blue a guy who never applied was hired Dee Fowler from the Madison county school district that is the Huntsville system. Fowler was retired when hired. Fowler hired Waldrop to be the head coach at James Clemens he stayed 7-8 years left went to Florence then was hired at Hoover. Not a great record never won or played for a title. Only won 4 playoff games in roughly 16 years of coaching. Appears to be a buddy hire. School board will vote Thursday to make it official. But with that being said Go Bucs. Guy may win 10 state titles who knows. I imagine they want to release it all at once. The Los Al/American Heritage game is apart of it. It is a 7 game event at 3 locations in Broward. All the heavy hitters will he involved. It’s shaping up to be the best event in the country for OOS games. The Freedom Bowl will look like an embarrassment compared to it. Classic Georgia. Avoiding top teams like the plague.
