TCC got the turnovers and that was the difference along with Hoban committing some bad penalties. Only thing worse is a couple injuries. Those are the recipe for a loss.

After seeing Kings shred TCC through the air, and with Hoban finally opening it up and having great success passing against Massillon, I thought the Knights would be able to bring a balanced approach to this game. Did Long really finish with negative passing yards?

Yes 2 completions for minus 3 yards. 2 INT one a pick 6. He was off last night.

On opening drive, St. Eds inexplicably goes for it on 4th done at its own 39 and doesn’t get it.  Springfield takes advantage of the short field and scores.  7-0 Springfield.

Looked like something went wrong with Lavelle. Didn’t seem like the plan was to go for it.

Big first drive ahead for Springfield. If they don’t score here, it’s going to be rough. Eds lines dominating. Schondelmyer getting rid of the ball as quick as he can, but short passes aren’t getting them anywhere. If he holds for a second too long he’s getting sacked.

Springfield fumbles after a completion o their opening drive of the half.  Eds back in business near midfield.
