Game still on, but it's currently sloppy on the Bayou. Will also be on TV (Yurview), if you get that. Channel 4 in NOLA.

Landry-Walker has to replace 4* QB Keytaon Thompson (Miss St).....I expect LW to struggle early breaking in a rookie QB. They may end up trying 2 or 3 kids before settling on one.

John Curtis-seems locked and loaded bringing back 7 on offense and 6 on defense.

Projection: Curtis 32 Landry-Walker 24

Some key Players to watch:

Brother Martin didn't even make "others receiving votes"....Whiteshoes has Brother Martin #100.

Not picking on Whiteshoes, but not sure where he got that #100 from?

Also...Who da hell gave Parkway a 1st place vote 😄.

They forget they still play Evangel @ their place?

Agreed, unless they just aren't showing anything until the season starts they only scored 6 in the scrimmage with West Monroe and lost to Benton in the Jamboree

Curtis 26, Walker 12.  These poor conditions are going to hurt Walker.  Inner city publics dont stack up well against Curtis.  The talent Curtis has this season is insane; that being said I think they take an L to Grayson by 14, L to Rummel by 1, get the bye at 8-2 and then lose to Rummel or Evangel in the semi's.  That also being said, Caj, Curtis could also blow Rummel away if they don't get the passing game going.  D-line is athletic and DBs will be solid.  Curtis has 4 running backs who will scare the crap out of defenses and they will rotate them in all day.  Rummel won't stop Curtis so they have to outscore them.  Interesting fact: Rummel's RB Keirell graduated 8th grade from Curtis and their QB Chandler was at Curtis for years before Holy Cross.  I also want to take this time to make fun of Holy Cross who has college level facilities but can't seem to win anything (except maybe wrestling?).

When they aren't 5A level guys, it doesn't matter who you return.  I think you have it backwards.  Curtis won't score on Evangel this year.  They proved last year they can handle Curtis and return a bunch.  Evangel just has to find the end zone once and then get a couple of field goals and will probably win.  I don't see a shootout.

Not 5A level guys?

Did Curtis not beat Landry-Walker, West Monroe, Brother Martin, St. Augustine, & Rummel twice last year?

Nah, not this year........last year was a bit of a fluke, in my opinion..

Evangel should have a good defense and I can see a low scoring game if they meet. But, I'll take JC's offense vs Evangel's offense this year....

Curtis scraped by teams all season, winning by a couple points here and there, then were blown out because they couldn't get any push against Evangel.  Mark it, the O Line is the weakest part of the Curtis team.  When the O line can't push, they will have a hard time averaging 3 yards.  The rest of the Curtis team will be vastly superior to the talent they will see outside 3 games this year and it wont matter. LW just doesn't stack well against Curtis (people scoffed last year about that too, how did it end up?) so Curtis wins that game.  O line will be exposed in the Grayson game though.  I mean seriously, 2 full quarters against Covington and you only scored 7?  Do you realize how good the WRs and RBs are for Curtis this year?  And it certainly wasn't the defense that didn't do their job.  What do you think that leaves?

Last time I checked two offenses don't take the field at the same time.  If Curtis can't score, Evangel just needs a field goal to win, right? And supposedly the new Evangel QB looks pretty good.
