Anytime he plays a good defense he hovers at 50 percent completion percentage. Not talking about North Carolina, Murray State, Kent State and the likes.

Don't disrespect Murray State!  We have a horse that runs around the track after every touchdown playa.  Racer1 all day.

Lamar Jackson has 2000 yards passing, 14 touchdowns and 500 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns in 6 games.

So he is on pace for 5000 all purpose yards and 42 touchdowns.

On a mediocre team. Every QB throws bad balls every now and then. I can guarantee you can take every bad throw a quarterback has ever made and turn it into a highlight tape to make him look like the most garbage QB ever.

And just because he's not projected a top QB prospect doesn't mean he sucks. And there are plenty of top QBs in the first round who busted

you guys sound like a bunch of hatin ass haters!!!

Did you watch this game? He was terrible. Missed open receivers consistently by 5-7 yds. on deep throws. Was throwing behind WRs on short crossing throws. He was only making the 10 yd out to his left with any accuracy. Watched Clemson game and put his issues on Clemson being that good. NC State is average in coverage, he had open receivers and missed them badly. His 50/50 throws downfield were so bad they should be called 0/0 throws. Great runner ,terrible passer.

So just because he's not a elite passer makes him overated?

he is still the best athlete in college football.

his team is very mediocre, he simply carries them to that top 20 ranking. His team (line, receivers, and defense) lost the Clemson game.

he threw some great balls that game, and his receivers dropped them.

btw: he finished with 500+ yards this game

No he's not.

Derwin James and Saquon Barkley are better athletes, but they don't play QB.

So if your putting multiple players in the category of best athletes then you have to put Lamar in it.

if you are asking for the best overall... I may go with Barkley, with jack right behind him, the James.

james has taken a step back this year after the injury

I noticed you didn't mention his throws in THIS game, only in the Clemson game. You have to admit he was very bad as a passer in this game.  Again, not NFL passing skill, but can win against many college defenses. Nc State is 120 in passing yds allowed and 84 in defense passing efficiency. This wasn't a Clemson defense he was facing.  The receivers were open and he couldn't make the passes to move the chains consistently. If you are a fan, you couldn't be happy with his effort.
