Ga96 Posted March 29 Report Share Posted March 29 Yeah we started the season top 10 but lost the last 2(5) total. 3 of our losses are against other highly ranked national teams(2 against the currently ranked #1 fl team and 1 against the current #2 Ga team) Not to take away from the teams we lost to but in all our losses our team didn't show up and they honestly haven't all season. Another thing unlike most of the nationally ranked teams almost all of our games are stacked like a series to mimic the playoffs here in Georgia. So where teams have 1 game a day all season we have double headers every week except for one and still have 3 games this week. So you'll have to teams only throwing their 1 and 2 pitchers is those meetings meanwhile we threw our number 4 Monday and #3 Tuesday. Our #1 pitched a few innings as a reliever but won't throw again until next week. That Trinity Christian team in Florida is the real deal. Would be a tie between them and Houston for top teams we've played this year. The losses are needed though in my opinion. Our players need to learn that this is a new season and a new team compared to last year. They have to learn that another championship needs to be earned. I would say we started the season in 3rd gear but regressed to 1st gear and are currently sitting between 2nd and 3rd gear. Ga96 Posted March 29 Report Share Posted March 29 We've also had some injuries and illnesses to hit the team the last few weeks. Our starting CF has been out the last two weeks after a collision with our left fielder and our #2 pitcher was out sick last week and hasn't pitched this week so far. Sam Houston, La won that little tournament in LaGrange, GA....beating Trinity Christian 4-2. Sam Houston is 20-2 on the season. They are just one of the great teams in Louisiana.
