94Packer
This probably not only keeps the coaching carousel spinning, but recruits could start flipping right before the early signing period
Nolebull813
I think it was the best hire given all the options. Makes a lot of sense. There's nowhere for him to after this. Oregon was just better than USF in terms of money and $100 handshakes from Nike. But what he will get paid at FSU, and the prestige of the program, there is nowhere else for him to move up to. Great hire. He has an impressive resume for a young coach.

Columbiafan
I really like this hire Florida has a lot of athletes and you get these FL players in a offense like Oregon you gonna put up numbers and points

dan in daytona
Jimbo's constant "in your face" game time critique grew tiresome for players and fans alike. Rarely did a QB make the sideline without dealing with his open disgust. This parting of ways has been brewing for awhile now. No one associated with FSU said anything negative about him moving on. The silence spoke volumes. I like the Taggart hire. Good guy, good coach, great Florida recruiter....it's all good

Yeah, it's a great hire for Miami fans. The guy has a losing record (47-50) and has never won a conference championship. One of the many reasons why you'll never be in a position to hire anybody in your life: Somehow you think that's an impressive resume. Columbiafan
Within 4 years he took usf from 2-10 to 10-2 He is going to have far more resources recruiting at fsu then at usf and will be in the most talent rich state in the nation Lots of potential in this hire

Great coaches don't go 2-10 under almost any circumstance. He went 2-10 twice. Great coaches don't coach for 8 years and have a losing record. Great coaches also don't coach for 8 years and never win a conference championship. Especially in the Sun Belt (Western Kentucky) and AAC (South Florida). Urban Meyer took over a 2-9 Bowling Green team and went 8-3 in year 1. in 16 years as a head coach., Urban has never won less than 8 games in a season. In 8 years as a head coach, Willie Taggart has only won 8 or more games twice.

I've seen ton of great coaches go to a school and have a losing record first year You take over a struggling program you ain't winning year one in most cases bc generally programs that routinely have to replace coaches also struggle with bringing in good recruits which won't be corrected overnight

Fans in Gainesville and Miami are celebrating. This will end in him being fired.

Fsu has owned the gators lately and i don't see that changing Fsu has been recruiting smarter than them since Myer left Florida And this first win for Miami in like what? 5? 6 years?
