DarterBlue
Fair enough. I don't believe the internet should be monopolized the way our other media sources are. Preserving net neutrality helps keep it free of monopoly power. It should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Well sure, priorities and all...trouble is your internet provider just might bundle access with a bunch of other sites, and to get it you'll also have to pay for access to "It'll Make You Go Blind," "Inflatable Date" and "The Kleenex Channel." This is one of those things that is technically correct...and intentionally misleading... The history on this is long, nuanced, and best not left for us HS football board geniuses to explain to you, but for all intents and purposes the only internet access you've ever known is one operated on the principles of net neutrality...but hey, why not make the internet operate more like cable service? What could go wrong?

Tesseract
From what I understand, the ISP’s will be able to charge customers to buy packages of websites like cable... and charge you to add on other sites.
PrepGridiron
This will make it easier for groups like Verizon and Comcast to control the train tracks, the trains and the cargo on the interweb railways; no bueno, IMHO
ResidentTroll
net neutrality may have been the law, but much like speeding, the law has often been ignored... repealing the actual written law will allow for monetization of the fact that you are already being guided towards whatever your provider promotes.... In other words you will now most likely be paying 'premiums' for the lube when you get flocked ( and people like Netflix etc. certainly will be). Apparently INFORMATION will now be entirely 'proprietary' again....this is basically the 'freedom' that we gained with the advent of the internet... General thoughts are that NOBODY in the general public is in favor of it and it certainly offers no benefit for them, but when it comes to 'monetizing' anything, what's best for the general public is usually the first thing tossed aside... I think this has more to do with personal vendettas against certain content providers and that is very shortsighted.....Trump has to realize that without 'Net Neutrality' his tweets will not reach everyone....not that the written law stopped a 'disgruntled employee' from pulling the plug on Trumps account last month.... I guess if they are doing what they want anyways things won't change much except the bill ...

I know people are cord cutting and such Net neutrality didnt become more prevelent till Obama came into office. Internet companies before then operated on their own open terms. But shortly before Obama took office ISP's where starting to give you more data without your permission and charging you more they where also blocking websites and apps... for reasons unknown. With Net neutrality the internet truly became an open field without fear of overpricing. And it made it fair for all websites and nothing was blocked. With Net neutrality gone... Companies can now discriminate against websites. Charge you for access to certain sites as well as apps and data. Online Gaming will become a load of BS... I can already see companies charging for online gaming data... But I swear to god they fuck with Pornhub and Im gonna slide the entire FCC.
