Bormio Posted April 3, 2018 Report Share Posted April 3, 2018 The Democrats, long the champion of the “little guy”, are becoming the party tied to big business - with all their social activism and need to appear “woke”. Meanwhile the Trump GOP is becoming more alienated from Wall Street - with calls for tariffs and attacking trade agreements. Now he has set his sites on Amazon - and Democrats rush to defend the behemoth. Strange times indeed - may be some fundamental changes in the political alignment in the US. dbcaptiron Posted April 3, 2018 Report Share Posted April 3, 2018 Amazon used to have good prices when they were undercutting everyone....but now they are just 'market matching" everything... and no reason you can't get it anywhere else at the same price....hell half the fulfillments are just 3rd party small guys getting % cleaved for the action. That's the thing with all the 'new' technology 'platforms'..... Does anyone know what apple takes to put anything in their virtual store? 1/3rd off the top...... progress... President Trump escalated his attack on Amazon on Thursday, saying in an early-morning tweet that the online retail behemoth does not pay enough taxes — and strongly suggesting that he may use the power of his office to rein in the nation's largest e-commerce business. It is strange when the Republican's love free market Capitalism and no gov't interference and he is projecting just that and maybe the Democrats remember this remark about paying Taxes. The Right have a serious case of Amnesia when it comes to Mr. Trump.
