She has the right to ask the lady to leave.  But to be truthful, it was rude to do so (just like not baking the wedding cake was rude).  It also shows the owner takes politics far too seriously.  There is no more a rabid partisan than James Carville.  Despite that, he is married to a woman who not only is Republican, but one who thinks Trump is doing a great job.  Because at the end of the day, Carville knows not to take politics too seriously, not to let it color every part of your life.  A point lost on the owner of the Red Hen - who could not even serve a restaurant meal to someone working in the White House.

You have to respect ones beliefs as the supreme court has ruled.

She was asked to leave. She was even told why. Sounds pretty polite to me.

She politely left.

End of story.

Fine, it was still rude (and short-sighted) to ask her to leave.  But we have the right to be rude.

Agree with all of this.  Private businesses should be able to operate how they want.  At the same time for society’s sake...

She should have continued to serve her because politics isn’t everything.

The baker should have baked the cake, but since he didn’t want to, the couple should have said “f you” and taken their business elsewhere.

The whole country needs to recognize the fault on their own side here and tone it all down.

My wife is a Democrat, my best friend is a socialist.  Who cares?  They’re good people and we all recognize politics isn’t the totality of each other’s worth.

I agree.

But it is these radical right wing Fox News watchers who are promoting and encouraging division.

They need to slow down.

intolerance from the left huh??..as the S.C. just decided you can discriminate based on your religious views...the right continues to divide this country...it's their mission...

That’s not what they decided. Like, at all.

Congrats, you’re as dumb and uninformed as Failsom.

Good luck.

Businesses can refuse business to ANYONE as long as it isn't based on race, ethnicity, or gender.

Says nothing about political views.

You lose.

Regards,

Your dad
