Pinson has a chance to actually beat them. And Thompson beat them in the regular season last year. Alabama does seem to have a solid core of 5 teams ... Those 5 will be good. Like the Hoover guy said... Thompson beat Hoover last year in the regular season, but lost in the playoffs. Just fyi, Georgias eventual 2A State Champion, Hapeville Charter, played Thompson last year and lost by 1 point 21-20 ... Hapevilles only loss And the younger brother (Taulia) of Alabamas QB Tua Tagovailoa, is their QB ... He told me one time that Niceville can't steal all the players from them and Ft Walton Beach anymore so they will keep being more comepetive. The coach is from Mississippi. In 2015 He played St Martin from MS and got bombed 46-13 limping to a 5-5 record. That year Crestview finished 190th in Florida while St Martin finished 17th in Mississippi. In 2016 with Crestview at full strength from Niceville not poaching their players they go 10-2 they boat race St Martin 46-24. Crestview finishes 80th in Florida while St Martin finishes 48th in MS. In 2017 Crestview again bombs St Martin 32-0 and finishes 32nd in Florida. Very long story short. Crestview has been trending upwards and will be a good game for Thompson. The only thing that's tricky is both teams will be heading to the playoffs the week after so who knows how fast they both go with fear of injuries in a meaningless game Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
